Mammoth Hot Springs

Since the weather is still so nice here (not normal!) we decided to take a road trip to Mammoth Hot Springs in the northern part of Yellowstone Park. It is really beautiful this time of year with the leaves changing colors. We were hoping to see the herd of elk that live in the town of Mammoth during this time of year but it was too warm and they stayed up in the hills. We will have to go up when the weather gets colder. It was a beautiful day and we love having the warm weather around for a little while longer.

Mammoth Hot Springs (Katie took this picture with her new camera we got her for her birthday). She was excited to have her own camera.

I took this one with Katie's camera.

Yup...old scraggily trees....something I love! There is just something about them.

The trees are awesome right now with the different colors.

  1. I'm so jealous that the weather is nice there now! I swear if Annie and I were to come again, it would be raining/snowing/and freezing cold. Glad that you guys got to get out and enjoy the nice weather and the beautiful park!

  2. The weather is still nice here too. It makes me want to go somewhere before it starts raining. That's great that you were able to take advantage of it. You took some really nice pics-so did Katie! I miss you and hope we can make it for Thanksgiving.
