Fun with The Grafels!

Last week Matt, Tayloe, Erik, and Emma Grafel came to visit Bozeman. We had a lot of fun! We painted pet rocks for Lynette's garden, went in the hot tub, hung out, played games, and ate like kings! We wish you would move closer so we could see you more often....hint hint! :) We love you guys!
An awesome Montana sunset.....

Tayloe's dog, Finn, wanted to play fetch with the Frisbee. The only problem is that he would fetch it but did not want to give it back once he had it.....

Grandma and Grandpa Grafel gave Katie a Razor scooter. I decided to try it out on the hill....

The kids played for hours on the swing set at Grandma and Grandpa's house....especially when Jason would push them!

The kids played in the hot tub for hours...they were little prunes when they finally were made to get out! The goggles were a hit.

Our pet rocks. I painted the little mouse rock and Katie painted the yellow rock with an orange lizard on it. Tayloe's is the pretty pink flower rock and I am not sure about the rest!.....

Tayloe...you are so pretty! .....

Finn had a thing for Dakota. He LOVED to play with him. He would pester Dakota so that he would chase him. Finn loved it and we got a kick out of it! I thought at first that Dakota was bugged but I think he actually liked playing with Finn. :)

Katie rides her bike!!!!

Katie rode her bike tonight by herself for about an hour! She did a great job! Even after having a minor "accident" and skinning her knee she got back on and rode like a champ. :)

Some Summer Fun!

Just wanted to post some pics of some the recent summer fun we have had! We went to the Museum of the Rockies to see the Frogs! exhibit a couple of weeks ago. It was really cool.

Can you see the frog that looks like a leaf?......

"Tomato Frogs".........

My favorite were the little colorful frogs. But these little guys are deadly. If you even touch one and the poison gets in your skin you could die quickly! But they are so cute and colorful!......

We then went upstairs to the children's section of the museum where they have a new room called "The Yellowstone"room.

Cool bison made of weird objects.......

Me with an eagle mask on.....

Jason and Katie making the geyser burst......

Katie with "Old Faithful" exhibit when it erupted.....

We took a Sunday picnic trip in the Jeep up to Hyalite Lake. The drive there was sunny and warm but that all changed!

Within about a 1/2 hour after getting there and eating our lunch the storm moved in.....

The ride home was wet and cold but we still had a good time!.....

One of Katie's many camps this summer was an art camp where the kids made clothes, jewelry, etc. The last day of camp they had a "fashion show". Katie was one of the models. Jason and I went to see her in her debut!

Oliver! Starring Kim and Heather Mason

This past weekend Jason and I were able to go to Rexburg and see my sister,Kim, and niece, Heather in thier acting debuts in the play Oliver! put on my The Rexburg Community Theatre. It was a really good show and we enjoyed ourselves. Kim did an awesome job singing and dancing but the best was her dying scene as Old Sally (I attached a video of it for all to enjoy). Heather was a great orphan and did a good job singing as well. I am glad we were able to see the show. Bravo Kim and Heather! :)
The program.....

Kim in her Old Sally makeup after the show.....

Heather after the show (I think she looks too pretty to be an orphan in rags)......

July 4th Weekend

For the 4th of July Weekend Jason, Katie, and I went down to Rexburg to hang out with my family. We went to Rexburg Rapids which is a new waterpark in Rexburg. It was packed but we still had fun. We spent most of our time on the Lazy River. Kim and the kids came with us. We played Bocci Ball one afternoon which was a lot of fun. Scott seemed to dominate the game though! :)
We went to the parade on the morning of the 4th and then, of course, went to Idaho Falls for the amazing fireworks show. It didn't dissappoint.
My hot tub is now home in Bozeman with me. It was a bit scary with the loading and hauling of it but my dad, brother, and my wonderful hubby did a good job strapping it down and it made home safely with no problems.
On Tuesday we went to the Army Surplus Store in Shelley, Idaho for my husband. It was huge! They have a lot of stuff there. Kate, Jason, and Lucas went down with us and then we had lunch together which was nice.
It was great to see my family and spend time together having fun. I love you all!
