Yellowstone Trip

For Memorial Day Weekend, Jason, Katie and I took my friends, Annie and Heidi, to Yellowstone National Park. The park was beautiful of course but the weather was yucky (seems to be the theme of the weekend). It snowed/rained on us most of the day and it was COLD! You can tell from the photos that we were all bundled up for winter weather in May! UGH! But we still had a good time watching Old Faithful, seeing the mud pots and hot pools, looking at the awesome waterfalls, and smelling the sulfur. :) We saw some animals like bison, elk, eagles, and even a coyote up close. It was a lot of fun!

A cool pic of the hot water running into the Yellowstone River

I LOVE the way the trees in the Park look all close together. Not sure why.

I love this old bridge at the Upper Falls

Aren't they cute?!!!!

Opening Day at Henry's Lake

Today (May 29th) was Opening Day for fishing at Henry's Lake in Island Park, Idaho. We got up at the crack of dawn and went up to the lake. We fished from the shore and were able to catch some big, beautiful Cutthroat Trout. The fishing and company was fun but the weather wasn't so much fun. It was freezing and snowing! You can tell from the pictures that we were all cold. My friends, Annie and Heidi (who came to visit from Boise), after a little while had to go sit in the car (along with Jason's daughter, Katie) because they were too cold. The rest of us stayed and fished.

You have to love my beanie....it kept me warm but wasn't the most attractive! No laughing allowed! :)

The Parentals Finally Meet!

So this weekend was a busy one. My parents helped me move all of my belongings to my new house in Bozeman, Montana. It took them a little longer than we thought to get up to Bozeman from Rexburg because of a train that stopped on the highway but they made it. We unloaded all of my things into Jason's garage....poor Jason....no room now in his beloved garage. He is such a good sport about it though. I took over the garage for now and there are boxes all over the house. Jason's parents also came over to help with the moving and were able to meet my folks. Then we went to lunch together at Fuddrucker's! I planned to go somewhere else but once my parents saw a Fuddrucker's the decision was made. The parents got along great (I knew they would) and we had a good time. I appreciate my parents for coming up and helping me with the move.
Jason was my slavedriver this weekend keeping me going on unpacking my stuff. I kept wanting a break but he kept me working. We got a lot done and have a bunch of big boxes of stuff that we are going to sell in a garage sale. I wonder why I moved some of this stuff at all! :) I am tired of moving but glad that we got a lot of it done so I don't have to do it later! Jason gave up his closet for me....now that is love! :)

More Wedding Updates!

I love this squished-kissy picture! :) Jason's dad who took the pics kept saying "hold it, hold it!" so we would just start busting up!

The DIP! Sort of!

So things are moving along smoothly for the wedding....Little more than three weeks away! WOW! I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I will soon be Mrs. Grafel! It will take some getting used to. I have been a Jones for SO LONG. :)
Got Jason's ring, Katie's flowergirl dress and jewelry, got flowers ordered, got food ordered, etc.....
I have the plans set and now am just waiting for the day and trying to not stress out. I am working on enjoying being engaged. This weekend my parents are helping me move my stuff up to Bozeman! Jason is making room for my things....not sure how it is all going to fit! :) We'll make it work. Then after we move my things we are going to have my parents meet Jason's parents for lunch. I thought it was a good idea to have the parentals meet before the day of the wedding. It should be fun.

7 more days of work and then I am off! Can't believe that either!!! It is bittersweet.

Wedding Plans Update!

Here are some pics that we took for our wedding invitations that didn't make the final cut but I thought they were cute (isn't my honey a HOTTIE!) :) Invitations are being mailed out this weekend! I love how they turned out!
Wedding plans update.....It is getting closer and closer...I can't believe how fast time is going! June 12th is just around the corner! I have found a dress...it is stunning!! I am having my fitting today since I need some alterations done. I have the decorator, photographer, location, invitations, etc. all done...YAY! It feels like there are a million little things to worry about but it is fun planning. I am getting more and more excited. I put in my resignation at work...ouch! It made me a bit queasy to do that since I don't have a job lined up yet in Montana but it doesn't change my mind. I have trouble sleeping because of all the little details running through my mind...and I feel like a kid who is going to Disneyland! You know that feeling...well I guess I get to feel it for another 4 weeks! :)
